We’re delighted to share that two remarkable authors are joining forces for a double book launch event that promises to be inspiring, intimate, and unforgettable.

This event brings together two distinct literary voices whose work stands out for their emotional depth and lyrical precision. Claudia’s Time and Other Solvents explores memory, loss, and the hidden chemistry of everyday experience. Rod’s Birds Flew In weaves vivid imagery with narratives that hover between the familiar and the uncanny.

Both authors will read from their new books, share insights into their creative process, and take questions from the audience. It’s a rare opportunity to connect with writers whose work is gaining attention for its craft, passion, and originality.

Claudia Gary’s poetry collection, Time and Other Solvents. Claudia is a well-known DC area poet and teacher, known for her gentle wit and humor. This collection is an autobiography in verse.

Rod Deacey, front-man and lyricist of The DC Beats, brings his jazz sensibility to this delightful chapbook, Birds Flew In. And yes, a wide array of birds abound in its pages.
